Adventure has always shaped my life – from childhood games and theatre trips with family, to sharing stories and playing sports with friends. That spirit led me to teach in Japan, and schools across Essex and London. Now, as a mum to two imaginative boys – one who loves facts, the other fiction – I was inspired to create FictFact. Their excitement for heroes, villains and everything in between constantly entertains me. No matter how tired we are, we always end our day diving into the magical world of books. I hope FictFact brings your family as much joy as it brings mine!

Storytime with my two (now teenage!) children remains a treasured memory. When they toddle up to you, book in hand, ready to be transported, it is a truly special moment of love and connection. I have been teaching now for over twenty years, and reading aloud to children is still one of my greatest joys. No child is too old to be captivated by a story, and the pin-drop moment when they are hooked is magical. I am so excited to bring that same joy to our FictFact stories.
